Dorsch KSA appointed Expo 2030 construction supervision consultant: Kuwait’s commissioner general tours pavilion plot

Expo 2030’s construction oversight layer gained its first publicly confirmed member this week, and Kuwait became the second Gulf state in six days to tour its pavilion plot. It was a quiet week by recent standards, but the two signals point the same way: design work is giving ground to delivery.

• Dorsch KSA, the Saudi arm of the Frankfurt-headquartered Dorsch Group, said it has been appointed as one of the construction supervision consultants for Expo 2030. The appointment joins Buro Happold, 9E Global and AtkinsRéalis on the project’s disclosed consultant roster, but sits a level down, at site-supervision rather than design. Contract value and scope were not disclosed.

• Salem Al-Watyan, commissioner general of the Kuwait Pavilion, toured Kuwait’s designated Expo plot on 28 July. Kuwait is the second Gulf Cooperation Council country to visit the site in a week, after Bahrain on 23 July. The visit extends a mid-2026 delegation cluster that also includes Uzbekistan, Luxembourg and Serbia.
