Saudi Arabia pavilion tender specifies 16,000 sqm, Q4 date: Bahrain plot visit, second tender opens

Expo 2030’s Saudi Arabia pavilion tender gained firm numbers this week, giving suppliers a concrete size and timeline to plan against. A Bahraini delegation advanced its own pavilion planning, and a second construction tender opened for bid with thinner sourcing behind it.

• The Saudi Arabia pavilion’s main construction tender now carries a size of about 16,000 square metres and a design-completion figure of 60 per cent. Construction Week Saudi reports an award target of the fourth quarter of 2026.

• Sheikh Khalifa Ahmed Al Khalifa, president of Bahrain’s Authority for Culture and Antiquities, toured Bahrain’s designated pavilion plot on 23 July. He and the organising company launched a joint theme and design workshop.

• A separate tender opened for bid on what the platform’s own signal data tags as the ‘Expo Icon’ structure. The sourcing behind it names no publisher and discloses no size or budget.
