The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) General Assembly approved the Siège Agreement for Expo 2030 Riyadh, formalising the diplomatic privileges and immunities accorded to participating delegations. The agreement, formally known as the Headquarters Agreement, establishes the legal framework under which country pavilions, official delegations and the Expo 2030 Riyadh Company will operate on site.
BIE Siège Agreement approved – The General Assembly endorsed the agreement on 17 June, completing a procedural milestone required ahead of pavilion construction.
9E Global appointed across three Expo 2030 Riyadh scopes – The Dubai-headquartered engineering consultancy disclosed three concurrent appointments: MEP utility infrastructure for the 6 million square metre site with LAVA Architects; MEP concept design on signature pavilions; and structural, MEP and geotechnical engineering across 39 categories of vertical assets with Killa Design.
Luxembourg appoints pavilion lead – Paulette Lenert was named to head Luxembourg’s pavilion at Expo 2030 Riyadh, formalising leadership ahead of pavilion design and construction.
